Project: PERGOLA has hit another snag

Now in the universe I live in you stack things up, largest on the bottom, with smaller items on top.

Mark took what he thought were the smallest sheets for the pergola roof, measured and drilled pilot holes in preparation of them being attached to the framework. After about 4 sheets, they suddenly found the next sheets under them are shorter. The different sized ones were mixed.

Not only that ran short of brackets and bolts, which is odd as exact numbers were ordered. How difficult is it to count out X amount of brackets? Must be on par with solving the Gordian Knot.

So, instead of a sleep in tomorrow, I am up at OMIGOD Hundred hours.

• 10:13:44: Just checked UV Filters& lenses. Good thing for UV filters. They have dings&scratches from wind blown sand, but lenses are fine.

Raising the Roof!

The last part of the pergola should be finished by tomorrow. A few of the roofing sheets are already up and bolted into place. Will be quick work to finish the rest.

Then comes the finicky task of putting the cat enclosure back up. We have been letting Ziggy wander a bit under supervision, but she needs her 'outdoors'. Also, it's a way to keep the other cats from wandering at night.

I found this funny

I have been seeing these ads about DVDs. They come with the DVD movie, and two other formats for you to use on different media players. This is announced like it's some big favor.

What the hell do they think I (and millions of others) have been doing with their DVDs already?
