Ah, the joy of headache free, clear vision

No more eyestrain, too. Also, no more either tilting my head or closing one eye when editing photographs, or watching a movie with one eye closed.

The 'kittens' can no longer really be called kittens. Drax is pretty close to the size of Loki already. Groo-Bear is still a bit flighty, but he has been actually coming into my office, beg for petting, or brushing or some treats. Drax sneaks into the bedroom every night for cuddles and scritches before I go to sleep. And even after I'm asleep. Wing has told me he sees Drax dashing back in. If only we could trust Trance.

It's so nice not having to squint

Picked up my glasses. One pair, single vision, for desk work, and another pair for when I am not working on photos, or playing a video game.

Not much else going on.

Eye exams aren't fun

I bit the bullet and went to the optometrist for eye exam.  So many times I had bright things shone into my eyes, I ended up with one helluva headache.

My near-sightedness is getting better, but astigmatisms have changed yet again.

No sign of glaucoma, but my cataracts have gone from level 1 to 1+. As I get older they will progress, but I can slow the progress by keeping my eyes shaded, and wearing sunglasses when outdoors.

Strangest thing is Dr R found a scar on the retina of my left eye.  It's good sized, but so far away from the optic nerve, it's almost impossible to see. Gee, thanks new advancement.

Anyhooooo, going to "Recycle" one of my frames for my computer/desk specs, and get a new frame for my daily wear.

Wow, what a difference

Wearing my 'desk' glasses.  Crisp, clear text, and no more feeling as if someone is trying to gouge my eye out with a spoon, or instant nausea.  Should make editing photos a lot less uncomfortable.

 

Tried on my 'not desk glasses' and again, no feeling of eye strain.

The joy of seeing

Picked up my new glasses, both pairs.  No more dreading to take out my contacts at the end of the day, as my old glasses gave me headaches and extremely tired eyes.

Also made appointment to have eyes checked after wearing new kind of contact lenses.

I like being able to see.. but why does it have to be so flipping expensive!

Good news, bad news

Good news; my nearsightedness is better. In both eyes, but more markedly improved in my left eye.

Bad news; astigmatisms are worse. Not a lot worse, but enough that I need new lenses.  $1000+ worth of new lenses. 

Ouch.
