Director Sydney Pollack dies of cancer
Academy Award-winning Director and actor Sydney Pollack has died. He was 73. Pollack's agent, Leslee Dart, said Pollack died of cancer Monday afternoon at his California home while surrounded by family. Pollack is best known for his work on "Out of Africa," "Tootsie" and "The Way We Were."
