In order of priority:
These are the four major things.
- 1: gutters need to be cleaned and repaired
- 2: Dry rot on the front of the house. If we don't get that fixed, we could be looking at huge remodeling bill for the front of the house.
- 3: Dry rot on the battens and crosspieces. Whoever installed the shade cloth only painted the parts you could see when standing on the ground. Water soaked, then dry rot.
- 4: Gate and fence. The posts are rotting in the ground. Need to have it replaced.
Need to get done, but not immediately needed:
- Fly screens on front windows and on screen doors.
- Spray hose for kitchen sink. (The new tap is too low for me to fill stock pots, or to wash them after they have been used)
- Removal of yard waste, front and back yards.
- Mulch front yard.
Cosmetic but needed:
- Moulding above the bookcase and woodstove needs to be replaced
- Ceiling needs to be painted to cover water stains after gutters are repaired and cleaned.
And that's just the start. The outside wood and wrought iron could use a fresh coat of paint, after a good cleaning. aikidomayland is going to get a crash course as to what being a home owner entails. Heh
