Civil War: Just about every nation has had one in their history. Sometimes more than one. Nothing 'divine' about it.

The Holocaust: A megalomaniac leader who wanted someone to blame all his failures decided to target an ethnic group. This is happening even now, with the crap going in Europe with 'ethnic cleansing', and in parts of Asia and Africa with genocide. Again, nothing divine, but shit driven by madmen.

The biblical flood was about the Euphrates river flooding, not a global flood. For those who choose to stay deliberately ignorant, the reason you can find seashells on tops of mountains, because those mountains used to be at sea level or below.
