Whatever I purchase, the first one is always faulty or defective. Luckily for me, I tend to hedge my bets.
I spotted some nice stainless steel salt/pepper mills, battery operated. So, I ordered two. They arrived today. When I opened the shipping packaging, one of the faces of boxes facing the inside of the other box had a hole in it. It was on the only side not visible. I carefully opened the box, and removed the mill, only to find a radiating crack in the acrylic base.
I took photograph, emailed it and the above to the merchant, requesting a replacement and an address to return the faulty goods.
*sigh*
