I am in the market for an instructional book. First thing I checked are the local stores, their online catalogs.
Lowest price is $75AUD. (insert scowl here)
I hie on over to Amazon dot com.
Lowest price new, that will ship to Australia. $45AUD including the shipping. (scowl goes away)
Tell me again why some things are almost double in price again? Shipping? Australia is closer to the source of many things than the US, so why is getting something shipped in from the US less expensive than getting it locally?
So, for me, waiting a few weeks to get the book from the US vs waiting a few weeks for the local store to order it for me... yeah, you can figure which one I will be getting.
